Mechwarrior 5 arrives in the spring of 2021
Piranha Games studio planned to release an extension for MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries along with Steam and GOG versions of the game on December 10th. However, it will release them in the spring, largely to avoid a match with Cyberpunk 2077. The eagerly awaited RPG CD Project Red should finally arrive by that date.
Cyberpunk 2077 is the reason for the withdrawal of a large number of game outings
MechWarrior 5 debuted as an exclusive on the Epic Games Store on December 10 last year. There’s a good reason they dropped the Heroes of the Inner Sphere DLC and other spring versions from the Piranha Games studio. That reason is Cyberpunk 2077.
The extra time will allow them to supplement MechWarrior 5 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S while running the game on even more platforms. This will be the first time that the MechWarrior title has been available on consoles since 2004. Piranha claims that "this will be the first true MechWarrior experience ever on the console." Fortunately, changing the release will not affect the operation of MechWarrior Online.
