Mechwarrior 5 arrives in the spring of 2021

Any developer or studio wants their game to come out as soon as possible, however, when it comes to matching highly anticipated titles, then it is wiser to wait and postpone the game. That’s why Piranha Games believes that the first day of sales and marketing is so important for a successful product launch and that moving to the second release date will give MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries the opportunity and attention it deserves.

 

MechWarrior 5 debuted as an exclusive on the Epic Games Store on December 10 last year. There’s a good reason they dropped the Heroes of the Inner Sphere DLC and other spring versions from the Piranha Games studio. That reason is Cyberpunk 2077.

The extra time will allow them to supplement MechWarrior 5 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S while running the game on even more platforms. This will be the first time that the MechWarrior title has been available on consoles since 2004. Piranha claims that "this will be the first true MechWarrior experience ever on the console." Fortunately, changing the release will not affect the operation of MechWarrior Online.
