The Assassin’s Creed Valhalla 1.0.4 update
The Assassin’s Creed Valhalla 1.0.4 update delivers 60 fps on the Playstation 5, Xbox Series S, and X
The 1.0.4 update brings several game enhancements to all platforms, including previous-generation consoles and the PC. It will also be available for Google Stadium and Amazon Luna. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players will be given the option to choose between Performance or Quality mode, and the former will allow the game to run at 60 fps.
As detailed on Ubisoft’s official website, update 1.0.4 for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla arrives for Xbox consoles, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Ubisoft Connect, Epic Games Store, Amazon Luna, and Stadia today, November 26th. The Xbox Series X and Series S will have a download size of 5.3 GB, the Xbox One 4.9 GB, the PlayStation 5 - 2.5 GB, the PS4 - 4.1 GB, and PCs 4.3 GB of data.
Update 1.0.4 brings a choice between preset performance and preset quality. Preset performance allows the game to adjust resolution and graphics settings to ensure 60 fps gaming. The preset Quality setting will deliver an improved image, but with lower frame rates, at 30 fps. Digital Foundry has noticed that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla drops below 60 fps in the PS5 and Xbox Series X, and stays at 30 fps in the Xbox Series S.
The update also adds a new background image to the title screen, adds various VFXs, rune categories in the rune menu, increases the factory limit to 82, and some other gameplay changes. Ubisoft has also made some balancing changes with speed, damage statistics, and severe attack modifiers. Overall stability and performance are also improved. For computer devices, problems with VRAM / RAM memory consumption have been resolved.
The Assassin's Creed Valhalla 1.0.4 update brings many more changes and improvements to graphics, sound, animation, world, combat, missions, user interface, capabilities, and photo modes.
