Cyberpunk 2077 has sold 13 million copies
Despite the controversy that has befallen the latest CD of the Project Red Order studio, Cyberpunk 2077 game is a hit. The studio has now pointed out that the title has sold about 13 million copies (as of December 20).
This projected sales result takes into account all platforms, including the Sony PlayStation Network where it is no longer possible to purchase the game, then more than eight million pre-orders before release, as well as the refund process for physical and digital purchases.
With 13 million copies sold, Cyberpunk 2077 generated more than $ 780 million in revenue during the first 10 days of availability. This places the game in an exclusive company. Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 recorded $ 725 million in revenue during its first weekend of availability, while Call of Duty: Modern Warfare had revenue of $ 600 million in its first three days.

Publishers do not usually publish such results unless the game is selling well. In the case of the Cyberpunk 2077 game in circulation is another motive. The company points out that the management board decided to publish information about the sale due to the potential influence on investors' decisions.
Shortly after the game was withdrawn from the PlayStation Network, CD Projekt Red's shares fell 22 percent and the company's market capitalization was $ 1.8 billion. Meanwhile, the company has recovered somewhat but this has not prevented investors from considering potential lawsuits against the company.
