Huawei The new 8 series has been officially unveiled, two models are arriving
Huawei has officially unveiled the New 8 Series phones for the China market. Two new devices include the standard Nova 8 and the slightly more powerful Nova 8 Pro model.
The standard Huawei Nova 8 uses a 6.57-inch FHD + OLED curved display, with a 90Hz refresh rate and support for 10-bit colors. The more powerful Nova 8 Pro model uses a 6.72-inch OLED screen, with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Huawei Nova 8 and Nova 8 Pro run the same Kirin 985 chipset, and as it is a 5G compatible chip, the new phones have support for both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G modes. Also, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is available.
For photography, both phones support a similar four-camera system, which consists of a 64MP main sensor, 8MP telephoto, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor. The 32MP sensor on the Nova 8 is in charge of selfies, while the Nova 8 Pro uses two cameras on the front: a 32MP main and a 16MP portrait.
The new 8 models are equipped with a 3800mAh battery, while the Pro model has a 4000mAh battery. Both phones have support for the 66W Huawei SuperCharge fast charging option. The latest EMUI 11, based on Android 10, is in charge of the software.
When it comes to price, the Huawei Nova 8 costs around $ 505 (converted from the Chinese yuan) for the 8GB + 128GB model and around $ 566 for the 8GB + 256GB model. The Huawei Nova 8 Pro is priced at around $ 612 for the 8GB + 128GB version and around $ 673 for the 8GB + 256GB variant.
