The FCC confirms S Pen support for the Galaxy S21 Ultra
If it wasn’t already clear from Samsung’s recent statement that the Galaxy S21 Ultra will have support for the S Pen smartpen, that’s now definitely confirmed.
The FCC application for the Samsung SMG998B (Galaxy S21 Ultra), which is in the testing phase, has listed support for the “stylus device” with an operating range between 0.53MHz and 0.6MHz.
We now have further confirmation that the Galaxy S21 Ultra will have support for the S Pen, when it is released on January 14th. It remains to be seen whether the South Korean company has created a new S Pen or will use the one from the Galaxy Note20 Ultra model.
The FCC also points to the wireless power-sharing of the Galaxy S21 Ultra model, which means it can charge wireless headphones (like the Galaxy Buds Pro model, which is expected with the Galaxy S21 series).
