Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the Mi 11 will not arrive with the charger in the package
Following initial rumors, Xiaomi Mi CEO Lei Jun has now confirmed that the packaging of the Xiaomi Mi 11 phone will not include a charger. The phone, which will be unveiled on December 28, will only arrive with a USB Type-C charging cable.
A Xiaomi official points out that such a move was made to preserve the environment. Since the box does not contain a charger, the thickness of the package is smaller.
The CEO added that such a decision may not be accepted by everyone, and will probably be criticized. He also asked whether there is a better solution in the choice between industrial practice and environmental protection.
Xiaomi recently confirmed that the Mi 11 will have Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, Harman Kardon sound experience, Wi-Fi 6E support, and more.
The Mi 11 will be the first phone to use the Snapdragon 888 5G 5nm Mobile Platform chipset. It will also have a punch-hole AMOLED screen with a QHD + curved screen for the Mi 11 Pro model, a 108MP main camera, and more.
