Samsung has confirmed that it works on sliding and twisting displays

Samsung Display has confirmed that it works on its sliding and twisting displays, similar to what LG hinted at during CES 2021.

Choi Kwon-young, senior vice president of Samsung Display, pointed out that the first twistable displays, as well as slider screens, will arrive later this year. It is assumed that Samsung phones will be the first to get these screens, but this has not been specifically confirmed.
 

Current flip and fold displays are also expected to implement new technologies. The company relies on a variable refresh rate and is not spending to stay ahead of the competition that will be significantly higher during 2021.

Unfortunately, the technologies that will be found on this year's Galaxy Z Flip3 and Galaxy Fold3 models are not mentioned.
