The Honor V40 5G was officially unveiled with a Dimensity 1000+ chip, a 50MP camera
Honor introduced its first phone since the company is no longer owned by Huawei, and it is the Honor V40 5G. The phone uses a Dimensity 1000+ chipset, a 50MP main camera, and has support for fast charging.
The screen of the V40 5G phone is 6.72-inch OLED, with curved sides and an elongated punch-hole opening for two selfie cameras. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate and has a resolution of 2676 x 1236 pixels.
There are three cameras on the back - the 50MP main camera has an RYYB 1 / 1.56 "sensor. The pixel size is 1.0µm, but with 4-in-1 pixel-binning mode, the size goes up to 2µm. The remaining two cameras are 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro There is also laser autofocus, located in the pores of a single LED flash.
Although Honor is now an independent company, the largest part of the phone was developed under the ownership of Huawei, so we have a 4000mAh battery that supports fast-charging up to 66W. This will allow the 0-100% battery to be charged in 35 minutes. The wireless charging is also impressive and amounts to 50W.
The Honor V40 5G comes with Magic UI 4.0, with Android 10 software. It is not mentioned whether the phone will have support for Google Services, as the presentation of the V40 5G model was held for China where phones are shipped without Google services anyway.
The phone will be available in three colors - Night Black, Titanium Silver, Rose Gold and has two memory and storage configurations: 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. The Honor V40 5G on the Chinese market is priced at around $ 556 for the 128GB model and around $ 620 for the 256GB variant.
