The Motorola Edge S arrives with the new Snapdragon 870 chipset
Shortly after Qualcomm released its Snapdragon 870 chipset, Motorola confirmed that the company’s Moto Edge S phone will arrive on January 26 and will implement the latest chip.
Motorola has already published a teaser for the new phone on the Weibo site and has given us a hint of a new chipset.
The Snapdragon 870 has the fastest clock speed so far when it comes to chips, with a Kryo 585 core (redesigned Cortex-A77) running at speeds up to 3.2GHz. The chipset was created in TSMC's 7nm process and has eight cores. Mentioned, fast Cortex-A77, three Cortex-A77 cores running at lower clock speed, and four efficient Cortex-A55 cores.
The Motorola Edge S is expected to have a 6.7-inch FHD + display with a 105Hz screen refresh rate and a 64MP main camera on the back. The phone is expected to be powered by a 5000mAh battery.
