The Nvidia RTX 30 series of graphics cards on laptops arrives from January 26th
During CES 2021, Nvidia confirmed that the company's RTX 30 series of graphics cards are arriving on laptops. Currently, the Nvidia Ampere line for laptops consists of three models: RTX 3060, RTX 3070, and RTX 3080.
According to Nvidia, the laptop version of the RTX 3060 model can deliver performance in the range of 90 frames per second @ 1080p and ultra settings in games like Fortnite. RTX 3060 GPUs will be available in laptops with a starting price of $ 999. The RTX 3070 model, which will be found in laptops priced at $ 1299, will offer 90 fps @ 1440p. In addition to performance improvements, the new graphics cards also implement improvements to existing Nvidia Max-Q technologies. This includes new versions of Dynamic Boost and Whisper Mode functions.
The new Nvidia RTX 30 laptop video cards also have a feature, called Resizable BAR, that allows the CPU to access the entire GPU memory at once, which the company claims contributes to improving gaming performance. Of course, there is also access to DLSS technology, which uses AI to improve performance.
Nvidia points out that the first laptops with RTX 3080 and RTX 3070 graphics cards will be available from January 26, while the RTX 3060 laptops will arrive later.
