End of game - Bioware officially cancels work on Anthem
The decision on the fate of the game Anthem was made in the previous weeks, and now a difficult decision has been made to continue the work on corrections for the game, which has been going on for quite a long time.
However, it has not been decided to continue working on Anthem Next, but to move away from the project, and the Bioware studio will direct the funds to another place. The main reason for giving up work on arranging the game is the coronary virus pandemic, because the transition to the work mode from home hurt all projects, and Anthem suffered the most.
Bioware has been working on alterations to the gameplay and the entire Anthem game since its release, and during that period, great things were promised to the players. This will not happen, but the game will remain available for play in its current state. In a farewell letter, the project leader thanked all the fans for their support.
Perhaps the coronary virus pandemic is also used in this case as a kind of excuse since the work on the corrections took quite a long time and without results visible to fans. In any case, Electronic Arts have decided to turn off the financial tap, and part of the team will move on to work on other projects at the Bioware studio, such as new releases in the Dragon Age and Mass Effect franchises.
