Earlier rumors have already suggested that the AMD Radeon RX 6700 GPU will be released during March, and now Cowcotland is offering a specific date on Twitter. According to whistleblowers, the Radeon RX 6700 XT will be released on March 18th.

The RX 6700 XT will be AMD's first Navi 22 graphics card, which reportedly has 2560 stream processors (40 CU), 12GB of GDDR6 memory, and the same DirectX 12 Ultimate features that adorn the Radeon RX 6800 and RX 6900 series graphics cards.

The Radeon RX 6700 XT will be AMD’s RDNA 2 replacement for the RX 5700 XT, offering gamers the same number of CUs and all the benefits of the RDNA 2 architecture. Although the RX 6700 XT has a smaller memory bus, it will mitigate (192 bits vs. 256) stronger VRAM (12GB vs. 8GB), as well as the use of Infinity Cache.

The AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT GPU is expected to sell out shortly after its release, as demand for GPUs by gamers and cryptocurrency miners creates inventory problems for manufacturers.
