Xiaomi has a new concept phone, with a screen that is curved on all four sides

The last concept phone that Xiaomi unveiled was the September 2019 Mi Mix Alpha. The company now displays a different type of curved display, which curves around the edges, on the left and right, but also the top and bottom.

Xiaomi calls this the “88-degree hyper quad-curved” screen, and it’s the most extreme form of the curved screen we’ve had a chance to see so far.

The concept device has no ports or physical keys. The new display has four rounded cutouts in the corners, and another interesting choice is positioning the status bar in the upper right corner.

Although promotional photos and video only show renders and not a specific device. Xiaomi representatives have confirmed that there is a prototype with a new hyper quad-curved screen. For now, there is no information about the possible commercial of this phone or the mentioned display.
