Intel has officially introduced the 11th generation Core processor
Intel today announced its 11th generation Core S series processors (codenamed Rocket Lake-S) for the global market, led by the premium model Intel Core i9-11900K.
The new processors are based on the new Cypress Cove core architecture and are designed to transform hardware and software efficiency by increasing raw gaming performance.
With speeds up to 5.30GHz with Intel Thermal Velocity Boost, the Intel Core i9-11900K delivers even better performance for gamers and PC enthusiasts. The processor has eight cores and 16 threads, along with 16MB of Intel Smart Cache. The unlocked 11th generation Intel Core desktop processor supports memory speeds up to DDR4-3200. The price of the strongest model in the line is $ 539.
Enhancements to this generation of Intel processors include:
- Up to 19% improvement in IPC performance at the generation level.
- Up to 50% better-integrated graphics performance with Intel UHD graphics with Intel Xe GPU architecture.
- Intel Deep Learning Boost and Vector Neural Network Instructions support to improve AI performance and deep learning.
- Advanced overclocking tools and features for flexible overclocking and tuning performance and experience.
New processors are implementing new overclocking tools to achieve better speeds and superior gaming performance. This generation of CPUs offers real-time memory overclocking, support for H570 and B560 chipsets, Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX) 2 and AVX-512, a new integrated memory controller, and Gear 2 support.
Finally, there is support for 20 PCIe 4.0 lines, Intel Quick Sync Video, 10-bit AV1 / 12bit encoding and decoding, Integrated HDMI 2.0, HBR3, Thunderbolt 4, and Intel Wi-Fi 6E.
