Outriders cheaters will be "branded" in the game in a special way
If you belong to that group of gaming cowards who like to win in online games by cheating, and you have recently tried a demo of the upcoming co-op shooter, get ready for an unpleasant but very cool surprise.
Namely, the Polish studio People Can Fly decided to put an end to cheaters in a truly unique way. No, he won't immediately beat them with a ban hammer, but he will brand them so nicely by placing a discreet but visible "Cheater" watermark on their HUD. This watermark will be visible on the gameplay material that such players try to share, and although such players will still be able to play the game, they will be prevented from matchmaking with “normal” and fair players who follow the rules. Cheaters will thus only be able to play against other cheaters, and this will automatically result in longer matchmaking.
By the way, of the two million players who have tried the Outriders demo so far, 200 have been identified as cheaters. The team from the People Can Fly studio is vigilantly monitoring the situation and regularly "combs" their PC servers in search of new cheats, to clear the game of them in time, and a "cheater watermark" will be given to all those who violate one of the following rules:
They intentionally run the game on a PC without the Easy Anti Cheat (EAC) tool
Modify game files to improve the character (leveling, skills, inventory, etc.)
Externally they modify the playing time to reduce certain features
By using trainers and similar programs to gain an advantage within the game
Using gameplay modifiers such as aimbots or wallhacks.
Outriders will be released on April 1 and will be available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, PC, and Google Stadium.
