The Gigabyte Z590 AORUS Tachyon motherboard is designed for overclocking
Gigabyte introduces the Z590 AORUS Tachyon motherboard from the premium segment, which is intended for enthusiasts and those who want extreme CPU and memory overclocking potential. The board is designed with an optimized system for open-air test benchmarks.
The motherboard has a powerful CPU VRM solution, which is powered via two 8-pin EPS connectors, as well as 12 direct VRM phases (with 100 A DrMOS and full Tantalum capacitors). Two DDR4 DIMM slots are in charge of the highest memory frequencies. The board also has physical controls for several overclocking functions, such as BIOS profile selection, cold-restart, manual BIOS ROM selection, liquid nitrogen cooling optimization, and more.
The expansion slots on the Z590 AORUS Tachyon board include four PCI-Express x16 (two Gen 4 x16 / NC or x8 / x8 and two Gen 3 x4 / x1). Storage options consist of three M.2 NVMe slots.
Gigabyte has not announced the price and availability of the Z590 AORUS Tachyon motherboard.
