Windows 10 gets new icons for File Explorer
Microsoft’s Windows 10 update, scheduled for the second half of this year, will implement some visual changes to the operating system and is codenamed Sun Valley. A large number of Windows 10 Insider Preview builds are already showing these visual changes.
The company has now released Windows 10 Insider Preview build 21343, which has one major new feature. These are the new icons for the File Explorer application. Major design changes are expected, including familiar folders and even the Recycle Bin.
Although Microsoft did not specifically mention it in its announcement, it is believed and this will not be the final look for all the icons, and all of this will be based on feedback from those testing the builds.
The new build also brings some minor updates. The Windows Administrative Tools folder is now named Windows Tools, while the Get Help link in the touch keyboard is now labeled "Learn more."
Those who want to try Windows 10 build 21343, can download it via Windows Update. You need to be in the Dev channel to be able to access the Windows Insider Program tab in the Settings section.
