Apex Legends introduces arenas, 3 on 3
The big news of the next season of Apex Legends, the so-called Legacy updates, there will be a new game mode - Arenas. Unlike previous Apex mods, which came and went, this one is there permanently and will allow players to play in a slightly closer format - in arenas where two teams with three players each oppose.
More rounds will be played, and the winning team of the round will be the one whose players stay last on their feet. To win the complete match, they will need to have a two-point advantage over the opponent in a minimum of three rounds. So 3-0 or 3-1. Or 4-2, 5-3, etc. If a match enters the ninth round (4-4) that round is crucial and whoever wins it is the winner.
In Arenas mode there will be no respawning by comrades - if you are eliminated, you have to wait for the next round. The plot is that before each round, weapon upgrades and treatments that the player picks up during the previous round can be used. Every match starts from scratch - with basic equipment and some materials. Each subsequent round offers more and more to pick up, or in translation - the longer the matches last, the more frequent the weapon upgrades. But you can’t carry those upgrades to the next match.
The matches will take place in famous locations from existing maps (Kings Canyon, World’s Edge, and Olympus). Upon the arrival of the Legacy update, two maps will be available for Arenas mode: Phase Runner and Party Crasher, but there will be even more in the future.
In addition to the new Arenas fashion, the new season of Apex Legends brings a new legend - Valkyrie. She is the daughter of one of the main villains of the Titanfall series and belongs to the recon class. She has a passive ability to use the jetpack, and as a tactical attack, she uses mini-missiles to disorient the opponent. With the ultimate Valkyrie attack, it can soar high into the air.
Arena and Valkyrie in Apex Legends are coming on May 4th.
