The new game about the Smurfs is The Smurfs: Mission Vileaf

Less than a year ago, the news arrived that we would get a new game from the series The Smurfs, or as they call it in our country - The Smurfs. Now comes the new news - it won’t be the only game but the first in a series. Microids has reached an agreement with the owners of the Smurfs license and will launch the same number of Smurfs games in the next five years.

The first in the series will be a 3D platformer called The Smurfs: Mission Vileaf. It arrives for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms at the end of 2021. The OSome Studio team is working on it, and it was previously said that this Smurfs adventure will be original, that is, it will not follow previously told stories.

With this agreement, the publishing house Microids has secured its future. In addition to the Smurfs, they are also entitled to another well-known franchise - Asterix & Obelix. The French company needs success because it has been failing for years, from the forgotten Moto Racer 4, through the terrible Syberia 3 to the worryingly bad remake of the XIII.
