Acer presented a handful of interesting products at its global conference
Acer held its next@acer 2021 conference, during which the company unveiled several new products, including new gaming and business laptops, Chromebooks, desktops, new HDR monitors from the Predator gaming line, as well as the SpatialLabs package.
As part of Acer’s rich line of laptops, there’s the new Swift X, featuring the new AMD Ryzen 5000 Series processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU. The laptop offers creative professionals powerful performance on the go, up to 17 hours of battery life and a 14-inch FHD IPS display with 100% coverage of the sRGB color spectrum. The laptop has a premium metal construction, weighs only 1.39 kg, and has a thickness of 17.9 millimeters. The Acer Swift X (SFX14-41G) will be available in Europe from the summer, at a starting price of 899 euros.
The new Predator Triton and Helios series of gaming laptops now come with 11th generation Intel Core H-series processors and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 Series Laptop GPU. The Predator Triton 500 SE uses a display with a refresh rate of up to 240Hz, has a housing up to 19.9 millimeters thin, and a battery that lasts up to 12 hours. When it comes to the Predator Helios 500, this model uses either an FHD 360 Hz display with a response of 3ms or a 4K 120Hz Mini LED display, with local dimming and a VESA DisplayHDR 1000. The Predator Triton 500 SE (PT516-51s) will be available in the EU from July, with a starting price of 1999 euros, while the Predator Helios 500 (PH517-52) will appear in June for 2499 euros.
For professionals, Acer has put together the TravelMate P6 series of premium thin and light notebooks, which includes the TravelMate Spin P6 convertible model with a stylus, a Corning Gorilla Glass screen that can be rotated 360 degrees in four modes. The new TravelMate P6 and Spin P6 models are upgraded with the latest 11th generation Intel Core vPro processors, 14-inch FHD + IPS screens with 100% sRGB color coverage, a battery that lasts up to 20 hours. There is also support for 5G and NFC, for fast data sharing and payment on the go. The Acer TravelMate P6 (TMP614-52) will be available in Europe from September, at a starting price of 999 euros, while the TravelMate Spin P6 (TMP614RN-52) will be available from October at a starting price of 1199 euros.Acer has also updated its ConceptD Creator line of laptops. The new ConceptD laptops now come with up to Intel Core H-series processors and various GPU options, including the Nvidia RTX A5000 Laptop GPU. The ConceptD 5 models now feature a 16-inch 3K QHD (3072 x 1920) PANTONE-validated display, with a 16:10 aspect ratio. In the field of Chromebooks, Acer is offering four new models, including the industry’s first 17-inch model. The Acer Chromebook 317 (CB317-1H) is the industry’s first 17.3-inch Chromebook, designed for multitasking, with a slim bezel around the screen, as well as upward-pointing speakers, for improved productivity and entertainment. The Chromebook Spin 713 (CP713-3W) and Chromebook Enterprise Spin (CP713-3W) is the first industrial Chromebooks to be verified for the Intel Evo platform, and now come with the 11th generation Intel Core i7 processors, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, and VertiView 13.5-inch screens. The Chromebook 514 (CB514-1H) and Chromebook Enterprise 514 (CB514-1W) offer maximum power and performance with processors up to the 11th generation Intel Core model, durable design, and a battery life of up to 10 hours. The Acer Chromebook 314 (CB314-2H / T) offers everyday performance in a compact design and with a battery life of up to 15 hours.
In the desktop segment, Acer has upgraded its Orion and Nitro lines. The new gaming PCs now use the new 11th generation Intel Core desktop processors or AMD Ryzen 5000 Series desktop processors, as well as Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 Series GPUs. The refreshed Predator Orion 3000 offers serious gamers the power they need to get the most out of their favorite title streaming graphics. The new Nitro 50 offers gamers a choice between the latest Intel or AMD processors, which provide the power to run the latest games, but also to process video gameplay. The Predator Orion 3000 (P03-630) will be available from October, for 949 euros, while the Nitro 50 (N50-620) arrives in October at a starting price of 799 euros.
In the field of gaming monitors, Acer has expanded its Predator portfolio with three new models. The Predator CG437K S is a large, 42.5-inch UHD gaming monitor, which supports HDMI 2.1 and can be used for PCs and consoles. The Predator X38 S is a curved e-sports oriented monitor, has a size of 37.5 inches, UWQHD + 175Hz (overclocked) display, and 0.3ms GtG response. The Predator X28 is a 28-inch model with TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe certification, 155Hz screen, and offers Delta E
Finally, Acer released the SpatialLabs program, open to Unreal Engine developers around the world. SpatialLabs combines a stereo camera with eye-tracking, a stereoscopic 3D display, and real-time rendering technology. SpatialLabs Experience Center allows flexible use of stereoscopic 3D technology, allowing creators to see their models in stereoscopic 3D mode with just one click.
