Pioner, new competition to Stalker and Escape From Tarkov
Our day is gloomy, which is very appropriate for the announcement of a new game with a post-apocalyptic atmosphere. The Russian studio GFA Games (and who else but the Russians?) Has now officially announced Pioner - MMOFPS, which is very reminiscent of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Escape from Tarkov. There has been talking of that game for years, but now we’ve finally got some concrete materials.
The Pioneer takes place on an isolated Soviet island where a former operative after a technological apocalypse tries to break through to the mysterious station MOGILNIK to save his comrades. In front of him is cleaning the bunker of mutants, avoiding anomalies in laboratories - a classic Saturday afternoon in Soviet Russia.
The game will focus on PvE gaming. In addition to the story in the campaign, we will have Raids, we will gather "influence" to get more powerful equipment and weapons, alone or in the company of other players. There will be four factions in Pioneer that we can join, and the end of the story will depend on doing business with them. Of course, there will also be PvP components, and it will take place on a separate part of the map called Empty Lands (such as in Division).
Pioner is in development for the PC platform. The planned release date is roughly set for the end of 2021 or the beginning of 2022.
