The Elden Ring could be moved to 2022. according to the latest report
Elden Ring, the new game by the creators of Dark Souls is still shrouded in mystery since it was announced in 2019. And by all accounts, it could stay that way for a while longer.
Kadokawa Corp., which owns ownership of the FromSoftware development studio, recently submitted a financial report on its operations in the first three months of 2021, and this included forecasts for the next fiscal year that will run until the fourth month of 2022. forecasts, the company expects a 15% drop in revenue in the coming period, which could mean that they also do not expect the launch of the game Elden Ring before the spring of 2022.
It’s important to note that nowhere does it explicitly state that the game’s release has been delayed - after all, we haven’t even had a specific date so far. Likewise, gaming companies bring Kadokawa only 7% of revenue, which does not necessarily mean that the expected decline in total revenue is related to the delay of Elden Ring. However, it is stated that this prognosis is set due to the consequences of the COVID-19 virus pandemic, and one of them is the slow development of new video games.
