The Last of Us: Part II is running at 60 fps on the PlayStation 5 console as of today
It just happened what fans of The Last of Us have been wanting since the PlayStation 5 console came out. The Last of Us: Part II has received an update after which the game can now run at 60 frames per second. Of course - on the PlayStation 5 console, to avoid confusion. The PS4 still runs in thirty frames.
Just as in the case of previous PS4 games that subsequently received such treatment (God of War, Days Gone), here too the 60 fps performance comes as an option. If for some strange reason you prefer to play the game in the "original" 30 fps, you are left with the option to experience it that way.
With this, both games from the series are now playable at a smooth 60 frames per second, with the appropriate hardware.
Naughty Dog said that this is just the beginning of their work on the PlayStation 5 console. According to unofficial information, they are developing a remake of the first The Last of Us game.
