Death Stranding: Director’s Cut is coming
The unusual Death Stranding game will get it's expanded and improved edition, it was announced last night at the Summer Game Fest. A short video was shown confirming that Death Stranding: Director’s Cut will bring new missions to new locations. Interestingly, the trailer without disguise mimics Kojima's Metal Gear series, from the tone and location motives to alluding to Snake's trick of hiding in a box.
Is it some hint of Kojima's return to Metal Gear or a pure mockery of Konami? We don’t know, but it looks like Death Stranding will get new challenges. In the original, there was virtually no action that took place indoors, and here we see an interior patrolled by armored guards.
For now, Death Stranding: Director’s Cut has been confirmed for the PlayStation 5, so we expect some graphics improvements (at least at the PC version level) and support for 60 frames per second from that release. It is not yet known whether Director’s Cut content will be free to owners of the base PlayStation 4 version, but we should find out soon as it has been announced that we will hear more detailed information about the game in the coming weeks.
