In the CD Project, they had an internal video with a compilation of Cyberpunk 2077 bugs
Do you remember how hackers stole a pile of material from CD Projekt's servers earlier this year? These materials were sold at auction on condition that they not be shared further, but last week someone broke that promise by having the entire source code of Cyberpunk 2077 and some other CD Project games publicly released online. As expected, it revealed some interesting things to us.
One of these is that in CD Project they internally made fun of bugs during game development. They made a video with a compilation of the funniest bugs that were discovered during testing and many years of development of Cyberpunk 2077. So, these are bugs that were corrected before the launch of Cyberpunk 2077, but also recordings of various tests in which CD Project employees took a breather.
On the one hand, this is a confirmation of how problematic and complex the development of Cyberpunk 2077 was, but it can also be viewed differently. For example, someone in CD Projekt had time to put together this montage while the team panicked and patched the game until the last day - and launched it in such a state that they still haven't patched up much.
This is not the first time that CD Projekt has laughed at its problems. Five years ago, they released such a humorous video in which they made fun of the most common problem in The Witcher 3 - the behavior of Roach's horse, which often appeared on the roofs of houses. It was funny to them and the audience at the time, but since the compilation of Cyberpunk 2077 bugs was not made public - probably in that case the bugs were not funny to them or the players.
