Psychonauts 2 after almost six years of development got a release date

I was just going to check out when Psychonauts 2, the sequel to the poorly sold but highly acclaimed 3D platformer from 2005, was officially announced. It was the end of 2015. Five and a half years later, the game is finally coming out. Psychonauts 2 will be played on August 25, 2021, on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S consoles, but also PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 through backward compatibility. The game will be available from day one via subscription to the Xbox Game Pass.

In Psychonauts 2, we will once again take on the role of the young acrobat and “psychologist” Razputin Aquato. His psychic espionage organization finds itself in trouble and Raz must seek help from the mass murderer Maligula, who must first be raised from the dead. In the game, we will visit unique environments based on the psyche of the people whose minds we enter, looking for their hidden memories and solving their emotional intricacies.
