Marvel’s Midnight Suns is a tactical RPG with Wolverine and Blade

After Avenger and the Guardians of the Galaxy, another game about a group of Marvel heroes arrives. It’s called Marvel’s Midnight Suns and it’s a team that probably no one expected to come together in one game. There are more characters, but the list is led by Wolverine, Blade, Ghost Rider, Iron Man, Captain America, Magik, and others.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns will not be an action-adventure like most superhero games but a tactical RPG. If you have ever played the XCOM series, then you can already imagine what it should look like because the creators of XCOM are working on this game.

At Midnight Suns, we will thus organize our team of superheroes to prevent the mother of demons, Lilith, from intending to revive an ancient evil called Chthon. This game will show us the dark side of Marvel and our opponents here will be fallen heroes, ie famous characters who have sided with evil.

In the game, we will have a base called The Abbey from which we will send characters on missions. All the characters will have interpersonal relationships whose development will help the chemistry of the team. For the combat system, the developers say it will reward wise moves, but also heroism.

We haven't seen it in action yet, but the premiere of the gameplay from Midnight Suns is close - it is scheduled for next Wednesday, September 1. The game itself has been announced for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC and should come out in the third month of 2022.
