It's official! The Grand Theft Auto Trilogy arrives this year
After numerous gossips, it is now official - Grand Theft Auto Trilogy is real and is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S / X this year. We don't know the exact release date yet, but we know that it will be released for iOS and Android mobile platforms in the first half of next year.
Rockstar himself confirmed this via his Newswire noting that the PC version will be available via the Rockstar Games Launcher.
The full name Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, this game package will feature GTA 3, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas and each game in the package will be modernized and improved. Rockstar did not go into detail about these upgrades, citing only “graphic enhancements and gameplay upgrades for all three titles”. More concrete information on what exactly improvements we can expect was promised to be shared with us a little later.

As early as next week, Rockstar will begin removing current versions of these games from digital stores as they want to replace them with these enhanced ones. Of course, this does not mean that you will lose access to these versions of games if you bought them before, they remain with you - it will just not be possible to buy them in the future.
This announcement coincides with the celebration of 20 years since the release of the legendary GTA 3, a game that introduced the GTA series to a three-dimensional environment and laid the foundations for the rest of the GTA series, but also other open-world games.
