Minecraft gets a mountain update today

The world of Minecraft from today will look a little different and in some places even more impressive. Thanks to the second part of the update, the Caves & Cliffs mountains in the game will become more massive and diverse. There will be forest-covered mountains, rocks, etc. A more diverse environment will be given to caves. Somewhere it will be possible to find claustrophobic tunnels and somewhere wide caves filled with vegetation.

The way the world is generated will also have some visual improvements so everything looks a little more natural. The changes will affect existing maps as well, but you don’t need to worry that they will disrupt your life - any changes to existing maps will happen outside the zones explored by players, so all built objects should remain intact.

The Caves & Cliffs update will be the last major Minecraft upgrade in 2021. Next year will be followed by The Deep Dark and The Wild updates with swamps, mud, new enemies, and the like.
