Dying Light 2 Stay Human - 15 minutes of new gameplay
We recently heard that Dying Light 2 is ready and that there should be no new delays in the release of that game. And to give us confirmation of that, the developers of Techland have prepared 15 minutes of gameplay of the new gameplay display in full (4K) quality.
This time we got a look at the mission called “A Place to Call Home” which is set in the first third of the game. The protagonist Aiden is looking for information about his missing sister and is on his way to the central part of the city of Villador. There are tall buildings in the very center of the city, so Aiden has to use new equipment to move - a paraglider. The parachute is used for flight between buildings, but also for lifting into the air with ventilation openings.
Navigating in Dying Light 2 is fast and more reminiscent of Mirror’s Edge games than the first part. The fight also seems very dynamic, with known tricks of slowing downtime when aiming in a jump/fall. But, as the developers point out, the development of a playful character will be able to move in two directions: either we will have a stronger and more resilient character or we will develop it to be more agile and faster. In other words, what we see in the gameplay is a combination of both, and in the final version of the game, we will be able to determine for ourselves what character skills we want to develop.
