Stalker 2 will have an installation close to 180 gigabytes
Earlier this year, hardware requirements for the PC version of the upcoming S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl. In them, it was stated that the game on a PC will require 150 gigabytes of free disk space, which in itself is enough, but not an unusual occurrence. But now the version information for the Xbox Series X / S has been released - directly at the Xbox game store - and it is stated that the Xbox version will take up approximately 180 gigabytes of disk space.
Now… how reliable is the estimate; whether it is the size of the complete installation or the installation + take into account the space for the update process… these are unanswered questions for now. What is important to note is that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 should be one of the first games made on Unreal Engine 5. If the first representative of games on the new Unreal weighs 150+ gigabytes, then it is quite likely that this could become a new standard in the amount of data for the new generation of games.
Purely for context, a 180-gigabyte installation is 50% of the available space of the Xbox Series S console.
