Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves on the PS5 will go up to 120 fps
Sony has revealed some details related to the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves collection, which includes Uncharted 4 and the extension The Lost Legacy. The news this time is tied exclusively to the PlayStation 5 version, while news of the PC version will follow later.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves on PlayStation 5 is coming on January 28, 2022. It will cost $50, and according to Sony's standard upgrade policy, all owners of Uncharted 4 or The Lost Legacy remaster for PS5 will be able to get it for $10. So, whether you have a digital or physical edition of Uncharted 4 or The Lost Legacy for PS4, you have the option to pay $10 for the digital edition of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves for PS5. There will be no conditions for a free upgrade.
Visually, the game will have the same graphics as in the PS4 version, only the resolution and number of frames per second will change, depending on the performance mode. There will be three modes:
- Fidelity Mode - native 4K resolution at 30 fps
- Performance Mode - dynamic resolution at 60 fps
- Performance + Mode - 1080p resolution at 120 fps
The Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves collection thus becomes the first Sony-produced game to support 120 fps performance.
Other improvements to the new version are related to the specifics of the PS5 console: the game will load much faster, will support three-dimensional sound, and will have specific vibrations for specific actions, as well as support for adaptive triggers.
