American McGee’s Alice is becoming a TV series, it has a solid producer
The Alice series of games, directed by American McGee, brought a horror flair to the famous story of Alice in Wonderland. So far, two games have been created - the action-adventure from 2000 and its sequel Alice: Madness Returns from 2011. It was rumored that American McGee is preparing the next chapter called Alice: Asylum, but more specific content will be a television adaptation of the game.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Alice in the American version of American McGee will be adapted by David Hayer - the writer and famous actor who played Solid Snake from Metal Gear.
The story of Alice’s TV adaptation will begin after her first visit to Wonderland. Alice faces the tragic death of her parents and after several failed suicide attempts is placed in a mental institution. There, the White Rabbit finds her and takes her to a wonderland that Alice must be free from evil forces.
For the time being, no TV station or streaming platform is associated with the TV series, which means that "Snake" will try to sell it after the script is finished and maybe a pilot episode will be filmed.
