Kingdom Hearts comes to Switch as a streaming exclusive
The Kingdom Hearts series is celebrating 20 years of existence this year, and on that occasion, it will become available on another platform - the Nintendo Switch. From February 10 this year, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind will arrive at Switch. And the biggest fans get lost in these game titles.
The games will be available for purchase separately or in a package called the Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece, which will sell for $89.99. But there is a catch in the whole story: the games will only be available as Cloud editions or via streaming.
The reason for this probably lies in its technical nature. Square Enix reports that the Switch does not have enough memory to store all Kingdom Hearts games - not only on the card but also on the console itself. On the other hand, Kingdom Hearts 3 on the Switch console hardware would probably be harder to do without major compromises.
