Apparently there’s no way we’re going to play Dragon Age 4 this year
The next Dragon Age has neither a precise nor an approximate release date, but if you were hoping to play it later this year - a cold shower follows. Leaker Tom Henderson heard from a source close to Electronic Arts that "there is no chance" that Dragon Age (4) will be released in 2022, and they heard the same on the GamesBeat portal, where they claim that the game will be in development for at least another year, if not more.
One of the reasons the new Dragon Age has been awaited for more than seven years is that the game has gone through several different stages and shapes. It is currently a single-player RPG title but was originally conceived as a multiplayer project of live-service format before Anthem experienced a fiasco.
We don’t know much about the next Dragon Age yet. It has only been revealed that it will take place in the wizarding region of Tevinter, it will have a new hero and several returnee characters, including Fen’Harel, the elven god of betrayal and rebellion.
