Shadow Warrior 3 will be available on the PlayStation Now subscription from day one
It often happens that Sony PlayStation Plus subscribers get some new games
with their subscription as soon as they become available on the PlayStation.
But so far it has not happened that new games from the first day are given to
subscribers of another Sony service - PlayStation Now. That will change from
March 1st as it has been confirmed that
Shadow Warrior 3 will also be launched on PlayStation Now.
So far, games on the PlayStation Now subscription came as early
as 1-3 months after they went on sale. GTA 3: Definitive Edition (one month)
and Codemasters' Formula 1 games were the fastest to appear on PS Now.
This
news may be related to
Sony's plan to expand its subscriber offer this spring by merging
PlayStation Plus and Now services. According to rumors so far, PS Now should become an
alternative to Xbox's Game Pass. It already is, but the main difference
is that PS Now doesn't get new games as often as Game Pass. In addition, PS
Now is not officially supported in all regions where PS Plus is supported.
Another
problem with PS Now is that there are currently no PlayStation 5 games.
Although the service can be used on the PlayStation 5 console, only PS4
versions of games can be downloaded and installed via subscription. If this is
also the case with Shadow Warrior 3, PS5 console owners will only be able to
play the PS4 version of the game via subscription.
