Czech Developer FiolaStudio presents Matcho
Match-3 type games like Candy Crush or Bejeweled are the total opposite of first-person shooters. But what if the two opposing genres merged? The answer comes from Matcho - a new game from the Czech Republic in which we have to shoot at least three enemies of the same color in a row to create a chain reaction.
The main role of the game will be played by Max, a 25-year-old guy who has an unusual skill of emitting energy that is dangerous if he cannot control it. That's why Max is working with Triagon, although he's not happy about it. But his life changes significantly after the aliens kidnap the boss whom he then has to save using his specific powers.
Matcho will run Unreal Engine, and the developers promise a non-linear
adventure full of humor and several potential endings to the story. In
addition to shooting, in the gameplay,
we will use parkour movements and we will run along the walls,
perform double jumps, and the like.
Matcho has been announced for
PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X / S consoles, and plans to release
in 2022.
