The GeForce GTX 1060 is still the most popular card among Steam users

We all know what the situation is with desktop hardware, but here's a confirmation of how Steam's user configurations "breathe". The results of the survey for the second month of 2022 have been published, which show the following:

• Nvidia still has incredible dominance, the most used AMD graphics card (Radeon RX 580) is only in 17th place in terms of the number of users
• Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 is still the most used card (7.99%)
• quite unexpectedly, cheaper graphics card models predominate; of the newer models, only the RTX 3060 is in eighth place in terms of representation, but the model for laptops
• in terms of processors, Intel is in the lead with 69.06%, and AMD has a representation of 30.92%
• the number of Windows 10 users decreased by 2.13% compared to the first month of 2022, and the number of Windows 11 users increased by 2.03%
• Windows 10 is still the most common OS for Steam users with 75.69%
• the most commonly used primary resolution is 1920 × 1080 - used by 67.46% of users
• users typically use 16 GB of RAM on average and have a disk with more than one terabyte of storage

In 2022, Steam is still the most used platform for PC games. According to the latest statistics, in 2021 there were 132 million monthly active users.
