New details about Starfield have arrived
A new development diary for the SF game Starfield has been released. We
are still waiting for concrete gameplay, but we have learned some new
information. For starters, it was revealed that we will be able to work for
four factions in the game:
United Colonies, Freestar Collective, Ryujin Industries, and Crimson
Fleet. The first two factions conflict, Ryujin Industries represents a corporate
group, and Crimson Fleet pirates rob everything they get.
The
pirate faction will be interesting because we will be able to approach it from
two directions. We will be able to be robbers ourselves, and if we do not want
to be evil then we can infiltrate the space pirates and
galvanize them to other groups.
There will be a
system of (dis) persuasion in dialogues, which returns from TES 4: Oblivion. That is, it will not be an identical
system and it is not shown what it will look like, but it is to be expected
that the dialogues in the game will be more layered than they were in Skyrim
and Fallout 4.
It has also been confirmed that the game will have an assistant system. The
first assistant was discovered - a VASCO robot that addresses the
player as captain. From Bethesda, they say that in Starfield they have
prepared more realistic characters that will accompany us. And as for the main
character, we at Starfield will be able to choose a
background story for him, ie an origin that will affect his skills and
characteristics.
Starfield is still planned for
November 11, 2022, and will be played on PC and Xbox Series X / S platforms.
