Rocket League Wins the Competition - Gravity Goal Arrives
Rocket League is a popular game played by millions of players, so it makes
perfect sense that others want to emulate it. There have been several such
imitators (see Super Buckyball Tournament), and there will be more.
Leaker Tom Henderson
reports that 2K Games is preparing a futuristic Gravity Goal game in which
football will also be played on wheels.
But lest Gravity Goal is a
shameless copy of Rocket League, the mechanics will be a little different.
First of all, instead of cars, we will ride motorcycles similar to
those from the Tron series. And secondly - these motorcycles will be able to
fire disks at rivals. The higher the player's speed, the greater the damage
caused by the fired discs.
The rest of the gameplay will be similar
to the Rocket League - in 1v1, 2v2, or 3v3 matches the two sides will
fight to throw the ball into the goal.
Other details about the game
are not known yet, and its official announcement is pending.
