With His Music, Starfield Wants to Awaken the Feeling of Returning Home
We’ve already had a chance to hear a few tracks from Starfield’s upcoming
sci-fi RPG. But here’s a new opportunity to pay attention to the music of that
game. A new development diary has been published in which music composer Inon
Zur describes his vision of what he wanted to achieve with Starfield.
According
to Zur, who collaborated with Bethesda on the Fallout games, the music in
Starfield reminds him of a round trip, that is, a return to the known after
going into the unknown. "There is always this urge to return home, that's why
we feel complete - we want to complete our mission, our journey. We will find
something, we will discover something, take it with us and return home. ” -
states Zur.
Bethesda sound director Mark Lampert reveals that he
had to approach the musical background of the game differently than in Elder
Scrolls and Fallout, which took place on the surface of the planet. Starfield
will take us on a journey through vast expanses of space, and it was here that
it was necessary to orchestrate music that will convey a sense of presence in
a dark and distant part of space.
