Scorn is still in the plan for 2022, the developer explained why it is not a shooter
Numerous games are moving their release to 2023, and the game, which has already been postponed several times, is still aiming for the promised date. Scorn should be playing in the 10th month, developer Ebb Software reiterated in a new development diary. All content for the game should be completed next month, and the remaining development time is scheduled for ironing bugs and finalizing the entire product.
The developer notes that we will soon see a new display of the game, potentially at the Xbox presentation on June 12, since the game was announced as a PC and Xbox exclusive.
The new development diary for Scorn is specifically dedicated to weapons. The developers say Scorn will have different weapons, but will not be a shooter. Much of the fear will stem from a very limited amount of ammunition if only the behavior of the weapon itself, which can get stuck.
“Scorn is a horror experience at its core so limiting ammunition is an easy way to keep a player from getting too strong. If there was too much ammunition, we would have a sense of action play. On the other hand, if we don't have ammunition and combat, the gaming experience becomes one-dimensional and less interesting. ” - said Ljubomir Peklar, the main designer of the game.
