Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has been announced, and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is a sequel to Final Fantasy 7 Remake and has been announced for the PlayStation 5 console. There is no exact release date yet, it was just said that we should play it next winter - so at the end of 2023 or more likely at the beginning of 2024.
Now, although Rebirth is a continuation of the story about Cloud, Sephiroth, and the rest of the team, the game will further deviate from the original template and it is already clear in the first trailer that it will have some major deviations from the story we know. Moreover, creative game director Tetsuya Nomura said that FF7 Rebirth was conceived as a separate game that could serve new players to enter the series.
At one point, the trailer even asks the question: "What is fact
and what is fiction?". Nothing is safe anymore!
In addition to
Rebirth, the third part of the FF7 saga is in development. Nomura
didn't want to reveal the subtitle of that game, and we'll probably find out
only after we play Rebirth.
To make things a little more
complicated, Crisis Core has also been announced: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion - a
prequel to the original week, but with a changed story in which some
characters will not be as dead as in the original.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion will appear this winter on PC,
PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch platforms.
