Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration brings a collection of 90 games from six Atari platforms

This week, Atari celebrated half a century of existence and although they are no longer engaged in the production of new games, on this occasion we receive a collection that will take us through the history of one of the first successful companies in the gaming industry.

Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration is conceived as an interactive journey through 50 years of Atari. It will be a collection of 90 games from six Atari platforms - 2600, 5200, 7800, Atari 8-bit computers, Lynx and Jaguar. The games will be lined up on a timeline and will be accompanied by interesting facts from history, interviews with former Atari employees, and the like.

We don’t have a complete list of games in the collection yet, but the biggest Atari fans already know what to expect. For the first time, games with the Atari Lynx and Jaguar consoles will be available on modern platforms, and the catalog will also include six remastered Atari hits. These are Swordquest Airworld, Haunted Houses, VCTR-SCTR, Neo Breakout, Quadratank, and Yars ’Revenge Reimagined.

The Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration has been announced for PC, PS4, PS5, XBO, XS, and Switch. The collection will go on sale in November 2022 for $ 39.99.
