Witchfire is coming soon, an atmospheric shooter in which we tame witches
In a series of games shown at this year's Summer Game Fest, Witchfire caught the eye of many. This hectic rougelite shooter will finally be out for PC, and we could soon be playing it in an early access version exclusively via the Epic Games Store.
A new project by the Astronauts development studio will take us straight to the forefront of a major religious conflict. Namely, desperately seeking an opportunity to triumph in the deadly war against witches, the Church will seek help through forbidden pagan magic all to turn willing sinners into immortal witch hunters called Preyers. Armed with powerful spells and terrible firearms conjured by the best Vatican wizards, your mission is to find the infamous Black Sea witch, destroy the phantom army that protects her and retrieve a mysterious artifact that can finally reverse the course of the war.
In the trailer shown, in addition to satisfying and juicy shooting, we can also see attractive graphics. This shouldn't surprise us, because this is exactly the kind of photogrammetric graphics that graced Astronauts' previous title, the atmospheric The Vanishing of Ethan Carter.
