The creators of Dead By Daylight presented their new game - Meet Your Maker

Dead By Daylight has virtually no competition in the genre of multiplayer horror-themed games. So the development team at Behavior Interactive decided to create a competition for themselves… sort of. Namely, the creators of Dead By Daylight announced their new game called Meet Your Maker. Although it is not a distinct horror game, it has some segments that are slightly reminiscent of that theme, such as mutated creatures with robotic prostheses, called Chimera.

Aside from the mild horror, Meet Your Maker will also feature asymmetric PvP multiplayer just like Dead By Daylight. But that's where the similarities between the two games end.

Meet Your Maker plans to stand out with the idea that players themselves design levels to use traps and their mutant army to stop other players. Namely, the goal in raids is to get genetic material if you play as a thief or to stop a thief if you play as a level owner. Thief plays the game as a first-person shooter, while the player who created the level can watch as other players try to outwit his traps. If another player fails to pass a level, the creator of that level gets a reward.

For those who want action, the good news is that crossing user levels will be able to be done cooperatively in a team of two.

Meet Your Maker is announced for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Series, and will be released sometime in 2023.
