The war game Battalion 1944 becomes free
Battalion 1944 is a multiplayer (5v5) shooter that was launched on the PC platform in mid-2019. It was never particularly popular, but it was played by enough players to keep it alive. A version for consoles was also planned, which was to be distributed by the publishing house Square Enix. However, nothing will come of it because the developer has announced that he is changing his tactics - he is focusing on the PC version of the game and will make it free for all players on Steam.
From 16.8., we will no longer have Battalion 1944 but Battalion: Legacy, which is described as the best version of the game so far with a new faction (the British), over 30 weapons, an updated interface, and the possibility of playing private matches.
The developer apologized to those who financed the version of Battalion for consoles and said that their money will be returned.
